The stock R35 GT-R oil cooler (p/n 21305-JF02B) retails at an astonishing $5133.00! When AMS saw that price they knew they had to create a solution. As usual, their engineering team had some unique ideas to make an oil cooler upgrade which was easy to install, more efficient and most importantly affordable for their customers.

Oil Cooler Upgrade Without Added Hassle
Instead of designing complex brackets, fittings, replacement lines and hardware or requiring modification of factory components we decided to make our oil cooler a true bolt in affair. By choosing a simpler approach they save you the worry about extra components that can corrode or leak. The Alpha Oil Cooler core uses all of the factory brackets, mounts, lines and shroud (no trimming required) exactly like the factory oil cooler core. This removes the added complexity of other alternatives saving you time and money.

Improved Design Aids Cooling
Instead of using the tube and fin style of the factory cooler and other upgrades on the market they chose a bar and plate design with a turbulator design. Turbulators increase the rate of flow and boost heat transfer netting better cooling of the oil. To further improve cooling our billet aluminum endtanks include a high temp foam making a proper seal to direct all of the air from the ducting through the core unlike the factory design. In addition they increased the thickness of our core from 50 to 61mm boosting cooling and oil capacity. This all adds up to an optimized cooler offering you greater efficiency*
